A Rant from the Touch Music Group CEO, Will Wilson

We here at TMG were honored to be a part of this year’s Extreme Tour Conference, called the Objective.  The Objective was to educate, develop, encourage, and teach artist from all over the world, to first find out within themselves who they are, and then help them to have a healthy knowledge of who God is, and if they dont, to take the time to find out who God is and attain salvation thru his son Christ, if they so desired.  Then finally to find what their purpose is as an artist or whatever they felt lead to do, and understand that their purpose was given by God.

The Christian event is truly for everyone, if your a label owner, exec, or employee, or if your an artist, musician, writer or looking to get into the industry, the conference had a little something for everyone.  The company partners with Community Groups, Clubs, Civic Organizations, Churches, Schools, Institutions, Government Agencies, and Municipalities that are working charitably to meet the needs of the disenfranchised and under served.  For almost 30 years now, in hundreds of communities scattered throughout over 20 countries, their team members and partners have been on a mission to use thier gifts, skills, and abilities to bring Love, Hope, Unity, and vital Resources to people in need.

The conference brings together many different guests from different companies throughout the industry.  Guests from Sony, Tom Jackson, Rocketown, and more are asked to attend the event and add their experience and knowledge via conference sessions, and classes.

Scott Oliver and I were honored to be invited to the conference to critic and judge the artist as they took their moments to perform, in hopes to have a chance to be a part of the world tour that Extreme does every year.  We were also asked to mentor artist that desired to speak to someone in the industry who could give them tips and pointers that could help them in their decision making and next step choices to reach their industry desire.

The level of energy and types of people we were able to meet was incredible, we spoke to over 100 people, yet their were over 600 people in attendance.  The 4 days zoomed by, yet the relationships we built were priceless, and some will last a life time.  We are looking to grow the friendship with the company and see more people touched by what they do here in Chicago.

TMG stands firmly with Mr. Ted Brunn and the incredible outreaching company he has lead and put together.  If you have a desire to do something in the music industry this is a conference to attend.  Dont miss this great event and the great people that attend it, next year.
