The skinny:

We wanted to share the latest release from Deanne Matley, one of the new artist recently signed to Touch Music Group.  When she joined us, she was in the mist of closing a few music project ideas and completing some music goals.  Because we love her sound so much, we thought we should share what she is doing with you.

Deanne Says “Five years ago, after a difficult separation from my now ex-husband, I found myself regularly sitting in the pews at Unity of Calgary. It was my Sunday solitude, a place where I found a home in the comforts of a non-denominational spiritual community. One particular Sunday, Anthony, the musical director, performed this song. It moved me instantly to tears. I knew in my heart that I had and would record it one day.

A few years later, while attending music school in Montreal, Anthony graciously permitted me to record his tune. So I connected with my good friend Paul Shrofel, and we created our original arrangement in his studio. Not knowing the exact time to release it, the song has sat in the vault until now.  I chose to release this track around the one-year mark of the pandemic to inspire healing. The song is about hope, and although one may be struggling and can’t predict the future, one is never alone. “
